Hello all-
For quite some time I’ve been interested in the idea of allowing you the ability to tinker around with my tracks – to create remixes, experiment, embellish or destroy what’s there. I tried a few years ago to do this in shockwave with very limited results.
After spending some quality time sitting in hotel rooms on a press tour, it dawned on me that the technology now exists and is already in the hands of some of you. I got to work experimenting and came up with something I think you’ll enjoy.
What I’m giving you in this file is the actual multi-track audio session for „the hand that feeds“ in GarageBand format. This is the entire thing bounced over from the actual Pro Tools session we recorded it into. I imported and converted the tracks into AppleLoop format so the size would be reasonable and the tempo flexible.

Mega Loopz

Wer auf der Suche nach Drums und Synths Loops ist, wird u.a. bei Easy Sounds fündig. Aus dem Pressetext:

Diese brandneue CD-ROM enthält 740  Loops (ca. 650 MB) für Garage Band.

First Wave Instrumente

Ich habe es noch nicht geschafft, sie alle auszuprobieren: bei First Wave Music gibt es jede Menge freier Samples und EXS-24 Software-Instrumente zum herunterladen, u.a. Dalva Percussion (Coco Loco unterm Zuckerhut. Orginal Aufnahmen von brasilanischen Musikern aus Rio de Janeiro. Kann man sehr realistische Figuren mit basteln.) oder K1 Panflute Attack (Damit sind auch Sie ein gern gesehener Gast in Deutschlands Fussgängerzonen.)

Akkordeon als Software-Instrument

Auf meiner unermüdlichen Suche nach Software-Instrumenten bzw. freien EXS-24 Samples habe ich vor ein paar Tagen auf der Website der norwegischen Plattenfirma Revolver Music u. a. ein wunderbares Akkordeon entdeckt.

Universal Loops

Bei Universal Constructors gibt es einige frei verwendbare Loops. Tom von UC hat sich im Forum gemeldet und bittet um Feedback von den Leuten, die diese Loops in ihren eigenen Stücken verwenden – zumindest einen Link zum eigenen Song sollte man ihm zukommen lassen.
